Prayer for Today, October 4

Lord, we come to You today with hearts of thanksgiving. We thank You for all the many blessings You have given us: Your grace and mercy, our salvation, and Your unfailing love. We thank You for the amazing gift of life and all the wonderful opportunities it brings.

We ask that You guide us along our journey in life. Help us to make wise choices that are pleasing to You and beneficial to ourselves and those around us. Give us strength when we are weak, courage when we are timid, and wisdom when we are confused.

Help us to be mindful of others today Lord: those who are suffering, those who need your healing touch, those who need our support or just a kind word. Fill our hearts with compassion so that we can be a blessing to others in their times of need.

Thank you for hearing our prayer today Lord. We pray these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
