Heavenly Father,
Today marks a new day of opportunities and growth. We thank You for the gift of life and the chance to live it in Your grace. We give You praise for all You have done, and all that is yet to come.
Today we bring our needs and requests before You. Help us to make wise decisions that honor You and bring glory to Your name. Guide us in our decisions so that we may love one another through them.
We ask for Your protection to cover us throughout this day. Let Your presence guard our hearts, minds, and souls from any harm or danger this day may bring.
May we be filled with joy as we go about our day, knowing that You are with us every step of the way. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
Prayer for Today, April 17
Heavenly Father, we come to you today with hearts full of praise and gratitude. We thank you for the blessings of a new day and the time to pause and reflect on your goodness. As we embrace this day, we ask that you would fill us with your peace and joy. May we be mindful of our attitudes throughout this day, that our actions may be pleasing in your sight.
We pray for those who are struggling today—for those who are hurting in body, mind or spirit—that they would experience your healing touch and be surrounded by love and comfort. Give us wisdom to know how to help them in tangible ways, if you give us the opportunity.
We also pray for those who are making difficult decisions today; that you would direct their steps according to your will. May they trust in you as their strength and guide in all things.
Lastly, we ask that you would open our hearts and minds to receive the truth of your Word as we study it today. May it bring hope and refreshment to our souls as we seek after You this day! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Prayer for Today, April 17
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your loving kindness and mercy. We ask that You would guide us in our decisions and provide us with wisdom. Help us to see the needs of others and to be generous in meeting those needs. Give us the courage to stand firm in our faith while living in a world that is often hostile to it.
We pray for peace and unity within our families, cities, countries, and throughout the world. May Your Spirit empower us to reach out in love and understanding so that all can enjoy the blessings of Your grace. Thank You for hearing our prayer today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
We also come before You today to ask that You bless those who are facing difficult times. Please comfort those who are grieving over lost loved ones or who are going through a hard season of life. Give strength and courage to those who are ill or suffering from pain and sadness due to any circumstance they may be facing right now. Remind them of Your love for them and that You are with them through it all.
Give patience to those who feel overwhelmed by their circumstances, finances or relationships. Let Your light shine into their lives so they can find hope again. May they find solace in knowing that nothing is impossible with You. We thank You for all these blessings and pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen
