A Prayer for Today, August 15
Heavenly Father, we come to you with a grateful heart and thank you for the many blessings you have bestowed on us. We are grateful for the beauty of creation and all the ways that your love sustains us. We ask that you continue to bless us with your grace and mercy today and every day.
Help us to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to you, and bring us closer together as a community. Guide our hearts so that we may be aware of the needs of our neighbors and answer their call for help. May we always look out for one another and bring joy into each other’s lives.
We pray for those who are sick or suffering in any way. Give them strength to endure this difficult time, along with comfort and peace knowing that you are always with them. Grant them healing in body, mind, and spirit so they may be restored to health.
Finally, thank you once again for all your blessings. May we use the gifts you have given us to lift up those around us in need of a helping hand or gentle word of comfort. Amen.
