Prayer for Today, October 13

Gracious God, we come to you with our hearts full of praise and thanksgiving. We thank you for your faithfulness, your goodness and your mercies that are new every morning. On this day, October 13th, we thank you for the blessings of the past week and the joys that fill our days.

We pray for those who are struggling in body and mind; give them strength to endure their sufferings. Give them hope and courage to face each day with faith knowing that you will never leave them nor forsake them. Provide comfort and peace to those who need it most.

We pray for those who have lost loved ones due to this pandemic; may they find solace in knowing that their loved ones are with you in Heaven. May they experience your presence in their sorrows as they journey through the grief process.

We pray for all those who are facing financial difficulties due to job loss or other unforeseen circumstances; provide them with a way out of their struggles and grant them favor with their employers or other sources of income.

Finally, we pray for ourselves as we continue to face this pandemic; may we not lose hope but instead look forward to a better tomorrow. May we be your hands and feet in helping others in need and be filled with peace knowing that everything is possible through Jesus Christ who strengthens us! In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
