Prayer for Today, May 18
Heavenly Father, we come to you today seeking Your presence in our lives. You are the Almighty, our Creator and Provider, and You are worthy of all praise and honor. We thank You for Your abundant grace and mercy that never fails us.
We humbly ask that You guide us in making wise decisions as we go through each day. Remind us of Your love and truth so that we can be encouraged to keep trusting in You. Help us to rely on Your strength when our own seems inadequate, knowing that nothing is impossible with You.
We pray for those who are struggling with difficult circumstances right now – fill their hearts with hope and courage to persevere through any trial they may be facing. Give them a peace of mind that surpasses all understanding so they can stay confident in the knowledge that You are by their side.
We also bring before you those who have recently lost loved ones – may they feel comforted in knowing that their loved one is rested in the arms of Jesus. Help them find solace in remembering all the happy memories shared together with the departed soul.
As we finish this prayer, fill us anew with Your Holy Spirit so that every step taken today is done out of obedience to Your will. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
