A Prayer for Today, March 7

Lord, thank you for today. As we enter this new day, we come to You with open hearts and minds eager to receive Your love and grace. We thank You that Your mercies are new every morning. Lord, today we pray that You will protect us from all harm and danger. We pray that as we go throughout our day that Your Spirit will guard us, guide us, and give us strength in times of need.

Help us to be mindful of others in our lives and to show compassion wherever possible. Help us to stay away from gossip and unkindness and instead choose words of edification. Fill our hearts with joy as we approach each task before us today.

We ask You to keep our hearts open to hearing Your voice in the stillness of the day when we are still before You in prayer. Give us eyes to see people through Your eyes so that our interactions with them reflect Your love for them.

Thank you for giving us another day of life; one more opportunity to live out our faith in a broken world full of pain and suffering. May this be a day where we make a difference in the lives of those around us by showing your love through our words and actions. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
