Prayer for Today, January 1

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this fresh start on the first day of the new year. We come to You with eager anticipation of all that You will do in our lives and in this world.

We are so thankful for the grace and mercy You extend to us each day. Remind us of Your endless love and kindness. Help us to keep our eyes on You instead of giving into fear or worry.

Help us to remember that true joy comes from within and is not dependent on our circumstances. Open our hearts to Your peace and help us to be content with where we are today.

We thank You for being our refuge and strength during difficult times. May we turn to You in prayer and trust in Your perfect plan for our lives no matter what challenges we may face this year.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
