Prayer for Today, January 3
Father God,
We come to You this day to thank You for Your steadfast love and faithfulness. We are so grateful for all the blessings You have given us and the grace that we feel in our lives. Your presence is a source of comfort and strength to us, and we are humbled by Your mercy.
We ask that You would lead us today in all that we do. Give us wisdom as we make decisions, and help us to discern what is good from what is harmful. Give us courage to stand up for what is right and just, even when it’s difficult. Fill our hearts with compassion and understanding so that we can show love to those around us.
We pray for those who are struggling with pain or grief today. Help them to find solace in You during this time of difficulty and give them hope in the face of despair. We trust You to carry them through their troubles and provide them with strength for each day ahead.
We thank You for Your goodness, Lord, now and always; Amen.
